In order to fulfil its ministry St Andrew's relies on the time, talents and financial generosity of all its members. We believe in every-member ministry. There are many opportunities for service in our church. Here are some examples.

At Worship

• Acting as an usher
• Reading a lesson
• Leading the Intercessions
• Singing in the choir
• Playing an instrument
• Helping to administer Holy Communion
• Teaching or helping in the Junior Church or crèche
• Arranging flowers
• Serving tea and coffee after the service

General

• Serving on one of the committees
• Leading or hosting a house group
• Serving on the Pastoral Support Group
• Contributing to 'Search'
• Helping with the church cleaning and decoration for festivals
• Helping with repairs and maintenance
• Helping in the church garden
• Making handicrafts
• Helping at the Bazaar

One brief word about finance. Our church is totally self-supporting. We receive no income from the Swiss church tax system, nor from our diocese, nor from the Church of England as a whole. Every franc we spend we need to raise ourselves. It costs about CHF 1,400 per day to run our church and its ministry. We therefore ask our members to be generous and realistic in their giving. The best way to give is to join the Pledge Scheme. That means promising to give a certain amount on a regular basis. Then our church knows how much to expect and can budget accordingly. Our treasurer will be glad to let you have precise details about the pledge scheme.
